"The Concetta Ensemble is a performance group that plays the original music of Concetta Abbate. The instrumentation includes voice, woodwinds, strings, piano and percussion. Instrumentalists come from a variety of backgrounds including jazz, free improvisation, folk and classical. The group has performed the New Music and New Ideas Festival, the Ambient Chaos series, the Park Church Co-op Summer Festival, The Little Island Summer Festival and the Dimenna Center for Classical Music.

The group has received grants from New Music USA with support in part from the Howard Gilman Foundation, The Amphion Foundation, The Cheswatyr Foundation, The ASCAP Foundation, the BMI Foundation, The Sorel Organization, and the Alice M. Ditson Fund of Columbia University.
